An angel came to Christ one day,
And said “Oh Lord what now
That Thou hast borne the sins of men
With thorns upon Thy brow?”
“My people shall be witnesses,”
He heard the Master say,
“And they will testify of Me
Each hour of every day.”
“But what if they should silent be?
For Thou dost know of man.”
And softly, my Redeemer cried,
“I have no other plan.”
