The Message of the Brook

The rushing sound of a flowing brook
Causes the casual eye to look,
And see awaken a heavenly dream,
The message taught by a rushing stream.
Crystal clear waters, making their way,
Down to the valley, where one precious day,
Sent on a mission, by no one but God,
They run to bring life to life’s hardened sod.
And, in the rushing, the river so pure,
Adds new dimensions to life’s needed cure.
Though it is rushing, a miracle’s seen,
The rocks they rush by have since become clean!
Just like God’s Spirit they rush, life to give,
Flowing through valleys: the dead start to live!
But, just like the Spirit, you find out one day,
That as it was flowing, your sins washed away!
