996A: It Is… I AM
Jesus had sent the disciples away, because He needed to be alone. What a startling commentary on us in our lives of busyness! Examine why Jesus felt the need to be alone. However, the disciples had taken charge again and had gotten in their boats. A storm arose and Jesus saw that they were afraid. We watch, in this lesson, as Jesus walks on top of the circumstances rather that being tossed about by the circumstances. He comfortingly says, "It is I AM. Do not fear." Why did the disciples panic? Why didn't they expect Him to come? Why didn't they recognize Him when He did come?
