556A: The Response to Persecution
What is our attitude suppose to be toward those who persecute us? What must be our actions and reactions to them as they jeer at us, lie about us and even threaten our lives? The Christian's response and responsibility is to love our enemies with agape love. We are to bless them, serve them, and pray for them. It is only the Spirit that indwells us that can do that, and there lies the blessing.
