539B: What Is Spiritual Adultery?
God's plan is that we are to be in the world but not of the world. We are not to take on its color, nor reflect its behavior, nor adhere to its lifestyle. We are to be ambassadors to serve, but never lose the marks of an ambassador. Spiritual adultery is the dividing of our affections between God and the things of this world. Satan tries to feed us lies concerning the "good life" through education, religion, media, and entertainment. We will take a look at some of the tools Satan uses to confuse the Christian, as well as nine foundational truths concerning the issue of spiritual adultery.
