520B: Why God Tests Us
What are God's purposes in testing? The major goal of God through testing is to create in us the mind of Jesus. He does this in many ways — by displaying our weaknesses, humbling us and drawing us closer to His Word. The Scripture says, "Count it all joy, my brethren..." As we learn more of God's purposes in testing, we can learn to rest in the midst of the test and know God is with us, working among us to bring about His good purpose.
