306B: When the Heavens Appear to Be Silent

(This lesson is the same as 724B.)

Faith is the evidence of things not seen. What then develops more faith? Miracles? Or silence? Were not the greatest periods of silence in history God’s most productive times? There was Moses tending Jethro’s sheep in silence, and Abraham expecting the promised child, but all he hears is silence. What about that silent period in history just before the birth of Christ? Just remember: We will see that when the heavens appear to be silent, God is doing His greatest work of all.
