1318B: More Than My Necessary Food
The word of God is food, too. It, however, feeds that portion of the nature of man that edifies, sustains, and transforms in the spirit realm. Given a choice, it is better to feast on God’s Word even at the expense of our “necessary” food; food or things that seem essential to the natural man, but compared to things eternal are expendable.
