1224B: In the Easy Chair At Home

Who is the man of God at home? This lesson looks on the man of God as he sits in the “easy chair” at home. The TV is blaring; the video is recording; the kids are complaining; and the bank account is straining. The world is looking on, trying to see if his responses are any different than theirs. It is at home where the man of God is supposed to be what the world and the church thinks he is. There are three roles that he is to juggle at home – that of servant, boss, and host. As these roles are assumed, God assumes responsibility for the outcome. Oh, the joy that awaits the man who trades in his easy chair for the task of being God’s man at home.
