Come Quickly

The Master sent an angel
To tell to John the story
Of Satan’s final, vicious days,
And God’s impending glory.

“I AM Messiah,” Jesus said,
“I paid the price for sin,”
And to a waiting world, this word:
“I AM will come again”.

This gift of love He offered
Was not for some, but all.
And whosoever will may come;
“Drink freely,” was His call.

Through the ages, it’s been true.
Redemption’s cost was weighed,
And whosoever called on Him,
Has found the price was paid.

Now clouds on life’s horizon
Speak of a day not far,
When breaking through the clouds,
We’ll see the bright and morning Star.

“Oh, come, Lord Jesus, Come again,”
“Come quickly,” Lord, we cry;
And eagerly we saints look up,
And view that eastern sky.

“Surely, I come quickly,”
We hear our Jesus say,
And we reply, “Come quickly –
Oh, Lord, please don’t delay.”

“Come quickly,” dear Lord Jesus,
And rid the world of sin;
“Come quickly,” dear Lord Jesus,
“Come quickly, Lord, Amen.”
