He’s My Rock

He’s my rock, the Scripture says,
The Rock on which I stand;
The only thing eternal
In a world of shifting sand.
He’s my shield, the Word reminds,
He’s there to guard my heart.
Jehovah, my protector,
Intercepts each fiery dart.
But the greatest truth of all,
Reflected in His Word,
Is that Jesus Christ, my Rock and Shield,
Has now become – My Lord.
