Just Spend Time with Me

Oh, dear God, I want to learn,
I want my focus changed.
I want my evil heart transformed
And not just rearranged.
I want to learn what’s in Your heart,
I want to know Your mind.
I want my will to bend to Yours,
I want Your will to find.
Oh, God I want the Mind of Christ.
But how can this thing be?
And softly, simply, You reply –
“Child, just spend time with Me –
No need to complicate the plan,
It takes no great degree,
It takes no genius mind at all –
Child, just spend time with Me.
Sit at My feet in wonderment,
Let who I am come through.
Worship Me, Spend time with Me;
Let Me spend time with you.
Sit still and focus – just on Me!
Beloved, that’s your part,
Give Me your attention, child,
And I’ll give you – My heart!”
